Background
Lete-Vautrain was created in the 1960s, in Château-Thierry. Starting from a few ares, the estate now covers more than 8 hectares extend over the communes of Chateau-Thierry and Essomes-sur-Marne. The range of champagnes is relatively narrow around a "Brut Zéro", created in 2008, and a vintage that waits at least 7 years in the cellar. All of them are very good value for money. HVE3
Tasting
Succulent notes of peach and apricot. The extremely well-balanced palate is characterised by a complex sensation which is both full-bodied and fresh. Intense notes of apple and peach accompany its beautifully balanced taste. The finish is long with hints of dried fruits.
Comment
204, this number is a reminder that a large part of the vineyard is located on Hill 204, which was the site of fierce fighting in 1918. Three-quarters Pinots (50% of which is Meunier) , the favourite grape variety of the Marne Valley, which make it an authentic terroir wine.
