Background
Long-established in the town of
Nuits-Saint-Georges, in the heart of Bourgogne, founded in 1825, Domaine
Faiveley has gradually grown to cover the most exceptional 'climats' of the
Cote d'Or. Nowadays, Faiveley family has become one of the most famous domaine
in Bourgogne.
A clear and brilliant bright red color with slight shades of purple. Very pleasant on the nose.
This wine gives off a red berry scent mixed with spicy and smoky notes. We find finesse on the palate. After a round and supple attack, it has beautiful concentration
and leaves a light tannic feeling.

Volnay is situated to the south of Pommard, between two hills which protect from the wind. The village is located on one of the highest points of the Côte de Beaune, that's why there is a famous adage "En dépit de Pommard et Meursault, c'est toujours Volnay le plus haut". (Despite Pommard and Meursault, Volnay is always the highest village!)
